Titre : Lugon

Please excuse me for wrting in English. My name is Jalh Dulanto. I am a direct descendant from Swiss inmigrants that came to Peru in the XIX century. My great grand father\’s last name was LUGON and I know that his father came from the town of Sayon in Valais. I was wondering if somebody in this forum could direct me to the origins of the LUGON last name and the tows were this lastname was common in the XIX century.

Thanks in advance,

Hello, I give you a link to find the origin of the lastname LUGON in Valais : http://www.aveg.ch/fr/Genealogie/patronyme.php
In the emigration register of Valais, I find the following emigration :
– Jules Lugon, born in 1845 in Saillon, son of Joseph Alexis Lugon and Catherine Bruno, emigrate to Buenos Aires (date unknown). Maybe your ancestor ?
Regards, Guy-Bernard

Many thanks for the link!!!
Yes, indeed, Jules Lugon Bruno is my mother\’s mother grandfather. And Joseph Alexis Lugon is his father. I was told that Joseph Alexi Lugon\’s father was a Jean Lugon-Moulin from Finhaut and Martigny, but I am trying to confirm that info.
Many thanks again.
Jalh
