My name is Patty Sutton Tokarz. I live in Long Lake New York, USA. I have a Great Grandmother who came from Switzerland and I’m hoping you can give me some help in finding out some information about her for geneaology purposes.

Her name is Philomene Judith Pauline Curdy.Her birth and death dates are 1865-1929. She came to the United States as a young woman.

I realize this is not much information for you to go on but anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, The name "Curdy" appears in different villages near the Geneva lake : Les Evouettes, Le Bouveret, St-Gingolph. We also find this name in French villages, in the "Val d’Abondance" just behind the frontier (maybe the origin of this family). Unfortunately, these villages are not yet in the informatic database of the association. I hope that you will find someone who works on these villages. Best regards Guy-Bernard

Hello,
The name "Curdy" appears in different villages near the Geneva lake : Les Evouettes, Le Bouveret, St-Gingolph. We also find this name in French villages, in the "Val d’Abondance" just behind the frontier (maybe the origin of this family).

Unfortunately, these villages are not yet in the informatic database of the association. I hope that you will find someone who works on these villages.

I have done research on my tree starting from the root of the Curdy’s which is so for in Bernex (France) oldest information 1660. I am trying to link with the Switzerland branch of the Curdy and to find a connexion with the Curdy’s and McCurdy’s from Ireland/scotland. do not hesitate to contact me Best Regards

I have checked there is a Philomene Curdy who is on the recensement list of Bernex 74500 (france) in 1896 and 1906 she is born in 1883 his father name is joseph born in 1854 she has a brother François born in 1885 and a sister Magdeleine born in 1887.
