Hi! Sorry for writing in English!

I am descendant of Benjamin Modesto VOUILLOZ, born around 1864 in the Canton du Valais. He travelled to Argentina by the end of the XIX century with his brother Lucien.

I am passionate about my roots, and I would love to be able to visit the city/town where he grew up. However, I am not able to reach the archives to know where he was born, the name of his parents (Benjamin and Catalina), etc.

Could you help me to access Etat Civil archives and finding info about him?

According to https://cemla.com/ , the brother Lucien left Europe the 1883/10/09 from Marseille. (if it is not an homonym)

Alternatively, here is what you can do from your home:

The census from 1880 is online since few weeks and if you have time you can look for the family of Benjamin and Lucien in the villages/cities from where the name Vouilloz is originated.
According to https://hls-dhs-dss.ch/famn/index.php , the villages are: Finhaut, Saxon , Vex, Martigny-Ville, Martigny-Combe and Martigny-Bourg.

The recensement from 1880 is published here:

Thanks for your answer! I am going to check on the recensement of 1880.
Yesterday I found the family record on the census of 1870 (record 82). Modeste and Lucien\’s father, Benjamin, moved from Martigny-Combe to Bramois by 1846. With that info, I corroborated he is in the census of 1850 at Bramois, with parents and siblings.

Now that I know Benjamin was born in 1837 in Martigny-Combe and his son Modeste was born in Bramois in 1864, is there a way to get the record of their births/marriages?
